Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager/Supervisor, the General Labourer is responsible for various tasks that support the overall operation of the production on shift.

Responsibilities:

· Lift and carry baskets of raw fish, weighing up to 50 lbs each to production line for processing.

· Inspect, grade, scale, weigh and pack fish.

· Maintain clean working environment.

· Adhere to Food Safety, Health & Safety standards.

· Forklift experience considered an asset but will train in house.

· Work as part of a team and independently.

· Must be able to work in a cold environment.

· Must be reliable and dedicated.

· A willingness to develop, desire to learn and be trained in other areas is an asset.

· Additional duties as required.

· Picking and staging frozen fish orders.

· Assist in all areas of the plant as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

· We are looking for those with the initiative to work hard and learn our processes.

· Must be reliable.

Work Conditions and Physical Abilities:

· Exposed to a cold and wet environment.

· Exposure to odors and noise.

· Employee must be able to stand for long periods.

· Employee must be able to bend, lift and twist.





· Employee must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
