Notice of Appendix D Support Staff Vacancy (Up to 18 months)

The Opportunity: The Employment Coordinator, reporting to the Manager of Employment Services, assists job seekers, particularly Sault College graduates and students, to obtain job leads, introduction to employers and/or placements leading to employment. They work directly with employers to uncover hidden leads and to create openings based on the needs of the client group on file. There is a particular focus on job seekers who may lack marketability or credibility in the local labour market.
The incumbent works as part of the Employment Services team which operates in a Continuous Quality Improvement environment.
What you need to be successful:
- Diploma/degree in marketing, human resources, business administration or a related field
- minimum two years’ experience in sales, marketing, job placement, placement consulting
- demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- experience with outreach strategies including cold calling
- knowledge of local labour market
- knowledge and experience working with Indigenous communities and employers an asset
- ability to conduct registrations, presentations or workshops
- robust interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- excellent computer skills (Office 365, various social media platforms)
- ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- valid driver’s license and transportation
This is an Appendix D full-time support staff vacancy, Payband G – $35.29 - $40.73/hour (starting rate $35.29/hour), 35 hours/week.
NOTE: I/O staff and Appendix D/PT staff are considered internal applicants.
