Job Summary:
As a Lifeguard at the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark, you are the first line of safety and the face of our aquatic experience. You will be responsible for the safe operation of the aquatic facility, preventing and responding to emergencies, and consistently delivering the enthusiastic, courteous, and superior service our guests expect.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain constant surveillance of guests in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of emergency.
- Respond immediately and effectively to emergencies; provide first aid and emergency care until EMS arrives.
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations in a professional, guest-friendly manner.
- Greet guests warmly and attend to their needs, contributing to an exceptional poolside experience.
- Monitor and report any hazardous conditions, equipment issues, or facility concerns to the Rooftop Pool Supervisor.
- Assist with pool deck setup, maintenance, and cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Complete required logs,
incident reports, and safety checks accurately and on time.
- Participate in regular in-service training and skill evaluations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certificate.
- Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR (CPR-C or higher).
- Demonstrated skill in lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
- Ability to react calmly, decisively, and effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both guests and team members.
- High energy level with the ability to respond quickly to changing conditions and volume.
- Exceptional attention to detail — including personal appearance, facility surveillance, and guest needs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
- Availability to work all shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Warm, professional presence that establishes immediate credibility with guests and colleagues.
