Overview
We are seeking a junior to intermediate Machine Builder to join our established shop team. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys hands-on machine assembly, troubleshooting and continuous learning.

You will join an established Barrie-based manufacturer where junior and intermediate team members can build practical skills, contribute to custom automation projects, and work alongside experienced professionals in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

Duties

- Assemble new custom automation machines and support development activities after initial machine build.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics for accurate fit and assembly.
- Fabricate and assemble parts as needed, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications.
- Assist with shipping, installation and start-up of new equipment at customer locations.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure conformance to design and equipment functionality to customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.




- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly processes.
- Must be available to travel to USA and Mexico (approximately 15% to 25% travel) and have a valid G drivers license.

Experience

- Robust mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble accurately from drawings, schematics and build information.
- Apprentice to 5 years related experience in Tool and Die, General Machining or Machine Building
- Familiarity with machining processes and understanding of tolerancing of components and machined parts
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour
