Lennox and Addington Resources for Children (LARC) is seeking Casual Call-In Supply Educators to support our School Age Programs in the Amherstview and surrounding area.

Supply Educators provide coverage for staff absences and additional program needs on an as-needed, call-in basis. This position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible employment while gaining experience working with school-age children in a licensed child care setting.

Responsibilities

Supply Educators are responsible for:

- Providing a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children.
- Supervising and actively engaging with children during program hours.
- Supporting and implementing developmentally appropriate programming based on children’s interests and needs.
- Building positive and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and school partners.
- Following LARC policies and procedures and maintaining all requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
- Supporting the daily routines and operation of the School Age Program.

Hours of Work

This is a casual, call-in position with no guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered based on program needs and staff absences.

School Age programs operate Monday to Friday, with shifts generally occurring during 7:00 -9:00 am and 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Shift start and end times may vary depending on the program location and operational needs.





Availability for both morning and afternoon shifts is an asset but not required.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with one of the following qualifications:

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
- Child and Youth Care/Worker diploma or related education and experience

Candidates must also have:

- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to meet all requirements for employment in a licensed child care program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
