Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Customs Clerk/Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will coordinate transportation activities, manage freight schedules, and ensure timely delivery of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and a strong understanding of supply chain operations. The Dispatcher will play a critical role in maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes, supporting our commitment to reliable service.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SyteLine software.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
- Monitor freight status and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
- Analyze shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation.
- Utilize AS400 systems for inventory management and order processing.




- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize logistics operations within 3PL environments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during dispatch activities.

Experience

- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and SyteLine or similar ERP software.
- Strong knowledge of freight logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and supply chain fundamentals.
- Experience working with 3PL providers is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and analysis of logistics data.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently.
- Familiarity with AS400 systems is a plus.
- Prior experience in freight coordination or dispatching roles is highly desirable. This position offers an engaging environment where organizational skills and attention to detail are valued highly to ensure seamless transportation operations across the supply chain.

Pay: $41,459.19-$73,277.30 per year
