About us

MCA Group is a Toronto-based commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance company working across Canada. We've taken on an ongoing repair program for a company that rents portable site office trailers to construction sites across the GTA, and we're looking for a reliable independent technician to carry it out.

The work

Repairs on portable office trailers, from single units up to multi-unit complexes:

- Doors: adjust sticking or sagging doors, strike plates, hinges, locksets, deadbolts, weatherstripping

- Window and wall A/C units: diagnose, clean filters and coils, remove and replace units, re-seal

- Electric baseboard heaters and wall thermostats: diagnose no-heat, replace like for like

- Lighting: tubes, ballasts, LED conversions, fixtures, switches

- Basic electrical checks: receptacles, GFCIs, tripped breakers, smoke/CO detectors

What we offer

- $50 to $60 per hour depending on experience, with a 4-hour minimum every time we dispatch you

- Steady volume: typically 5 to 25 calls per week,



grouped by area so you aren't driving across the city for one job

- Parts supplied

- Long-term, ongoing program

What you need

- Your own vehicle and tools

- Hands-on experience with door hardware, A/C units, baseboard heaters and light electrical

- Able to complete calls within 48 hours of dispatch

- Commercial general liability insurance ($2M) and ideally WSIB clearance (or exemption)

- Comfortable sending before and after photos from your phone after each call

- Commercial, property maintenance, construction site or modular building experience is a robust plus
