Job Summary

Are you outgoing, tech-savvy, and love engaging with people? Karma Casting is seeking 2 reliable and energetic Brand Ambassadors to represent high-profile brands during an exciting 4-day Store Grand Opening event in Fort McMurray! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of the launch, preparing and serving hot chocolate to guests outdoors and bringing great energy to the celebration.

Compensation & Perks

- Pay Rate: CA$22.00 per hour

Event Schedule & Availability Expectations

This event requires candidates who can commit to working all designated shifts across all 4 days:

- Thursday, October 22: Split Shift — 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (3-hour break from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
- Friday, October 23: Split Shift — 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (3-hour break from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
- Saturday, October 24: Single Shift — 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday, October 25: Single Shift — 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Attendance Policy: Only apply if you are available to work all 4 days and all scheduled shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare & Serve: Safely prepare and hand out hot chocolate to guests while engaging with visitors and creating a fun event atmosphere.




- Outdoor Setup & Engagement: Work outdoors at the grand opening setup, maintaining a warm, clean, and welcoming station.
- Dress Code: Must dress warmly in neat, neutral colors (black, brown, navy, beige). Strictly no large logos, graphics, or branding permitted.
- Reporting: Log shift details, event updates, and photos using the Karma Casting mobile app.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Food Safety Certification Required: Must hold a valid Food Safety Certification.
- Don't have one yet? You can easily complete an online course on your own in just a few hours prior to the event (e.g., at https://foodsafetytraining.ca/ — course fees are the candidate's responsibility).
- Technical & Smartphone Setup: Must own a reliable smartphone with app reporting capability to complete shift logs.
- Physical & Outdoor Stamina: Comfortable standing and working outdoors in autumn weather.
- Soft Skills: Friendly, professional, customer-service-oriented, and high energy.
