General Laborer – Fabrication Shop

We are looking for a dependable, motivated General Laborer to join our fabrication shop. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with tools and equipment, takes pride in doing quality work, and wants the opportunity to develop their skills within a growing shop setting.

The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day fabrication activities, operate shop equipment, prepare and finish parts, maintain an organized work area, and take ownership of their assigned tasks from start to finish.

Responsibilities

- Operate plate rolling equipment and other fabrication shop machinery
- Assist with presses, material handling equipment, and other shop equipment
- Grind, clean, deburr, and prepare fabricated and cut parts
- Assist with fitting, fabrication, stage parts, and general shop duties
- Load, unload, move, and organize steel and fabricated components
- Prepare materials and parts for welding and other fabrication processes
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Follow safe work practices and proper equipment procedures
- Inspect work and ensure assigned tasks are completed properly
- Take responsibility for assigned work and follow through without constant supervision
- Assist welders, fabricators, and machine operators as required




- Learn to operate additional equipment and take on new responsibilities as skills develop

- Mechanically inclined and interested in learning how equipment and fabrication processes work

- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Previous fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or industrial experience is an asset, but not required
