Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Long-Term Care experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the last 6 months
- Availability to work Friday–Monday, including holidays
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months + possibility of extension

Responsibilities:
Registered Practical Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
- Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in health status
- Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Collaborate with RNs, PSWs, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
- Support residents with ongoing chronic and complex care needs
- Maintain accurate resident documentation and clinical records
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals and family members
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and long-term care standards
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Canadian Long-Term Care experience required
- Experience caring for residents with complex and chronic health conditions
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Robust clinical judgment and adaptability in a long-term care setting
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and medication administration
- Compassion and empathy when supporting residents and families
- Ability to work effectively on weekends and holidays
