We are a thriving, privately owned veterinary dermatology specialty practice with four locations. Our Kelowna clinic is looking for a full-time Assistant Manager to join our team.

This is a management-first position focused on supporting our team and the day-to-day operations of the clinic, with opportunities to provide hands-on support based on your experience and skill set.

Assistant Manager – Your Role

Your number one responsibility will be supporting the day-to-day management and operation of the practice. You'll be a primary resource for staff, help keep workflows organized, support our doctors, and ensure the clinic operates efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing daily clinic operations, workflow, and staffing needs
- Providing leadership, direction, and day-to-day support to staff
- Prioritizing and delegating tasks based on clinic and patient needs
- Supporting staff training, onboarding,



and development
- Assisting with staff scheduling, vacation requests, and coverage
- Supporting inventory management and ordering
- Identifying opportunities to improve clinic workflow and efficiency
- Supporting implementation of clinic policies and procedures
- Stepping into reception or veterinary assistant duties when additional support is required

What We're Looking For

- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Confident, approachable leadership style
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems independently
- Positive, dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented attitude
- Strong computer skills

Veterinary Industry Experience is an Asset

This is a manager-first role. However, previous experience working in a veterinary practice is an asset, and candidates with veterinary assistant or technologist experience may have opportunities to assist with patient care.

Depending on your experience and skill set, this may include:

- Patient restraint and low-stress handling
- Collecting and preparing laboratory samples
- Preparing medications and treatments
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Admitting and discharging patients and providing client education
- Blood collection/venipuncture
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and maintenance
