HealthCraft Products is looking for a General Labourer (Metal Finishing, Polishing, Grinding) who will bring spirit, energy and a love for working with machinery and tools in a high-volume production / manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Move / handle steel parts using carts, pump truck and parts lifter
- Unwrap, sort, clean and wipe down parts
- Operate band saw
- Use hand tools to grind, sand, polish and file parts




- Stainless Steel parts polishing
- Operate drill press and punch press
- Operate tub bender (bend raw steel)
- Performance targets (fast paced) related to time and quantity per part
- General housekeeping in all shop departments
- Compliance with all safety guidelines
- Compliance with all HealthCraft policies and procedures

Requirements Include:

- Time spent in a manufacturing / machine shop environment
- Working with machinery, shop tools and can operate equipment / machinery in a safe and responsible manner
- Knowledge of workplace safety guidelines
- Effective communication skills, English; verbal and written

Working Conditions:

- Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (ear protection, respirator, safety eyewear, safety footwear)
- Continually works near moving mechanical parts
- Requires good manual dexterity
- Excellent stamina is required
- Work in conditions of heat, humidity, dust, noise, repetitive tasks, and hazards associated with a machine shop
- Lengthy periods of time standing

Workplace Environment

- Work Location: On-site, Ottawa, Ontario.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Environment: Active manufacturing facility.
- Operations: Disciplined Lean Manufacturing environment with Quality Assurance processes aligned with ISO 13485:2016.
