Contract Term: November 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027

Royal Bridge High School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Leave Replacement Science Teacher to join our teaching team for a temporary contract from November 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned Science courses in accordance with the British Columbia curriculum and supporting students in a positive, engaging, and academically focused learning environment.

Position Details

- Position: Leave Replacement Science Teacher
- Contract Period: November 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027
- Payment Schedule: Biweekly by direct deposit
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm
- Location: Royal Bridge High School, Port Coquitlam, BC

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver Science lessons aligned with the BC curriculum
- Assess and evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment,



and student progress records
- Create a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom setting
- Communicate with school administration regarding student progress and concerns
- Follow school policies, procedures, and professional expectations
- Participate in school-related meetings and activities as required

Qualifications

- Must hold appropriate teaching certification or authorization recognized for an independent school in BC
- Relevant academic background in Science or a related field
- Previous secondary school teaching experience is preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and administration

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week

Work Location: In person
