Qualifications – Saskatoon Healthcare Facility

- Current CNO registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Operating Room experience
- ACLS certification
- Perioperative Certificate

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist with the preparation of patients, operating rooms, surgical equipment, and supplies
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patient responses
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection prevention protocols, and safety standards

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:

- 2 years of relevant Canadian healthcare experience in an Operating Room setting (required)
- Familiarity with perioperative procedures and surgical environments
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in high-pressure situations

Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively




- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and patient care
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Compassion and empathy when supporting patients and families
