Retail Assistant — Seasonal Christmas Markets

Mighty Pines Cocktail Co. (non-alcoholic cocktail mixers) is looking for an energetic, outgoing Retail Assistant to join our Christmas Market sales team in Calgary (area). If you love talking to people, enjoy sales, and get excited about sharing a product you genuinely believe in, this could be a great fit for you!

This is a hands-on, fast-paced seasonal role. You’ll be on your feet for long periods and working hard, but you’ll also be part of an enthusiastic team with the opportunity to earn daily sales bonuses in addition to your hourly wage.

What You’ll Do

- Welcome customers and create a friendly, enthusiastic experience at the Mighty Pines booth.
- Pour lots of product samples and introduce customers to our cocktail mixers.
- Sell Mighty Pines mixers and help customers understand how they can be enjoyed with or without alcohol.
- Provide recommendations and inspiration for creating delicious drinks.
- Answer customer questions about our products and flavours.
- Replenish shelves and keep products organized and well presented.
- Take customer payments and accurately bag purchases.
- Help keep the booth clean, organized, and running smoothly.
- Support the Retail Manager with setup, sales, restocking, and end-of-day duties.
- Work as part of a team to keep the energy high and customers moving happily through the booth.

- Can confidently learn and talk about our products.
- Is comfortable standing and working for extended periods.
- Has retail, sales, market, food/beverage, or customer-service experience—an asset, but not necessarily required.

Requirements

- Transportation —reliable transportation to and from each market is required. You must either have a valid driver’s licence and your own access to a vehicle, or have reliable transportation arranged with someone who can drive you to and from the event.
- Must be 16+.

Compensation

$16/hour + daily sales bonuses

This is a contracted, seasonal position. You do not need to be available for every market date, although the ability to cover most dates is ideal.

Market Locations

Calgary / Alberta

- Millarville Christmas Market (Millarville, Alberta) — November 4–8, Nov 12-15 (Thurs-Sun, 9am to 4pm)
- Spruce Meadows Christmas Market (SW Calgary, Alberta) — November 13-16, 20-22, 27-29, Dec 4-7 (Fri 11am-8pm, Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 10am-6pm)
