Duties

- Greet guests with enthusiasm and genuine friendliness upon arrival, making them feel valued and comfortable.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable, ensuring accurate seating arrangements.
- Escort guests to their tables promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant’s offerings.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to optimize service flow.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times or reservation details while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, or restaurant policies through transparent and courteous communication.




- Support food service staff by coordinating seating arrangements during busy periods to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Experience

- Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service roles is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of customer service best practices and restaurant operations enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Basic understanding of phone etiquette and effective communication techniques to ensure guest needs are met promptly.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
