Cross Country Canada Supplies and Rentals

Canada

Cross Country Canada Supplies & Rentals Inc. (CCCSR) is a rapidly growing industrial supply and equipment rental company with locations in Alberta and British Columbia. We support pipeline, civil construction, industrial, oil & gas and mining and infrastructure projects by providing quality equipment rentals, industrial supplies, and customer-focused solutions across Western Canada.

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join us on a temporary basis for the duration of an ERP system conversion and implementation for approximately 6 to 8 months. The primary focus will be data: analyzing our current data, cleaning it up, and converting it into the new system accurately. While you'll work closely with teams across the business, this is a project-based role rather than an ongoing operational analyst position.

Duties and responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Cleanup

- Assess the quality, completeness, and structure of data in our legacy systems, including customers, vendors, items, inventory, rental assets, and financial records.
- Identify duplicates, inconsistencies, outdated records, and missing information, and work with data owners across the business to resolve them.
- Establish and track data cleanup priorities and progress leading up to conversion.

Data Conversion & Migration

- Map legacy data fields to the new ERP structure and document conversion rules and decisions.
- Prepare, transform, and load data through test and final conversion cycles.
- Validate and reconcile converted data against source records to confirm accuracy.

- Work with our implementation partner and internal teams to resolve conversion issues.

Implementation Support

- Gather and confirm requirements where they affect data structure or setup.
- Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), with a focus on data-related issues.
- Contribute to project status updates and flag data risks early.

Documentation & Handover

- Document data definitions, conversion processes, and cleanup decisions.
- Help create user guides and training materials related to data entry and data standards.
- Leave the business with explicit standards to maintain data quality after go-live.

Qualifications:

Required

- Experience with ERP platforms such as Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar systems.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or major system upgrades.
- Strong understanding of business processes across operations, supply chain, inventory, finance, service, and/or rental environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred

- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Knowledge of workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate.
- Business Analyst certification (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
- Experience in industrial services, equipment rental, manufacturing, construction, or distribution sectors.

The ideal candidate will be:

- Results-oriented and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Able to balance technical understanding with business needs.
- Skilled at building relationships across departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Working conditions

- Based in Spruce Grove, Alberta, at our head office
- Periods of high stress as it involves tight deadlines and meeting sales targets.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to achieve deadlines.
- Competitive contract rate based on experience.
- Flexible work arrangement available.
- Opportunity to contribute to high-impact business transformation initiatives.
- Potential for contract extension based on project requirements and performance.
