Job description:

Western Archrib has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of glued-laminated structural wood systems since 1951. We are currently looking for Timber Finishers at our Sturgeon County facility.

Location: Sturgeon County

Shifts: (Hours subject to change)

- Dayshift: Mon-Fri 6am – 2pm
- Weekend: Fri-Sat 6am – 6pm

Overtime may be required dependant on production requirements

Role Responsibilities:

- Operate a variety of woodworking power tools
- Troubleshoot quality control defects in wood beams and repair as required
- Maintain quality control, safety standards and safe work practices
- Application of laminated wood sealer and other finishing chemicals
- Use of overhead cranes on single and multiple crane lifts
- Wrapping and unwrapping beams for shipments and rework as required
- All finishing duties are performed indoors

Role Requirements:

- Physically fit and able to lift to a maximum of 50lbs
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation,



and ability to work 8 hour or 10 hr shifts
- Standard CSA approved steel toed boots, protection, work gloves, and reflective vests
- Candidates with experience in the carpentry trade, preferably in the timber industry will be considered but not required
- Attention to detail, good organizational and communication skills
