Sanitation Pre-Op

As a Sanitation Pre-Op, you will be responsible for conducting pre-operational inspections, monitoring chemical concentrations, and inspecting equipment to ensure that sanitation and food safety standards are met.

In this role, you will report to the Sanitation Supervisor and work closely with the Production Supervisor and Cleaning Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed visual inspections of all production and non-production areas and report and document any non-compliances related to cleanliness, sanitation, or maintenance.
- Coordinate daily with the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and ready on time for the next production shift.
- Perform daily swabbing of food-contact and non-food-contact surfaces to verify cleanliness and maintain accurate records.
- Take immediate corrective action when sanitation deficiencies are identified.
- Perform and verify post-allergen cleaning in accordance with established procedures and protocols to ensure cleaning effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily sanitation and inspection records.
- Supervise the cleaning crew to ensure all sanitation activities are completed according to established procedures.
- Coordinate with the Production Supervisor to involve production employees in required sanitation activities.




- Assign sanitation tasks to production employees until the production line begins.
- Monitor and record sanitizer concentrations daily to ensure they remain within the required specifications.
- Ensure sanitation activities comply with company GMP, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sanitation and food safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including heavy lifting when required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Hours of Work

- Full-time
- Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Night Shift: 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Flexible hours may be available based on operational requirements.

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

- St. Eugene, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- QA/QC: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

- English (preferred)
