Global manufacturer of a wide range of household products is currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer to report directly to the Engineering Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Detailed planning and execution of various capital and maintenance projects

Support development of short and long term plans for improvements to machinery, equipment, buildings and grounds

Manage capital projects including the development of project requirements, project scope, budget and schedule

Prepare engineering plans, specifications and drawings as required to complete project scope of work

Work with in-house designers, consultants, subcontractors and vendors to develop detailed engineering deliverables

Coordinate in-house maintenance personnel and subcontractors during construction, installation and commissioning activities of projects

Provide hands-on support to Operations and Maintenance personnel with troubleshooting of process equipment and manufacturing machinery in the plant

QUALIFICATIONS:





Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline

P. Eng designation is required

Experience PM technologies

Experience with project cost estimating

Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment

Previous detailed engineering and machine design experience

Solid continuous improvement background
