Are you an experienced carpenter who takes pride in quality workmanship and delivering successful projects? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter/Technician to support residential and commercial projects throughout the Halifax area. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is versatile, dependable, safety-focused, and committed to outstanding customer service and quality results.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate a small crew of 1 to 2 team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Apply general construction knowledge to ‘best practice’ installation and/or servicing of windows, doors, hardware, and specialty components – replacement and new-builds
- Ability to accurately measure openings and verify site conditions
- Finish carpentry - Fit and install trim, mouldings, etc (interior and exterior)
- Read and interpret shop drawings, construction plans, instructions etc to get the job done right
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, project managers, and customers to facilitate confidence and a smooth workflow
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and protected.
- Communicate professionally with customers and project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 yrs general construction knowledge, preferably in residential projects including ‘best practice’ installation and/or servicing of windows, doors, hardware, and specialty components – replacement and new-builds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftmanship
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and absolute commitment to customer satisfaction
- Must be willing to travel to job sites across Nova Scotia, which may occasionally require overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license required, along with a clean driving record and comfort driving with trailer.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime as required

Pay: $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
