Synergy Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor on behalf of EV Lab, an independent electric and hybrid vehicle repair facility in Aldergrove, BC, built by the team behind Precision Auto Service, a trusted, long-standing independent shop founded in 1997.

EV Lab specializes in electric and hybrid vehicles across a variety of manufacturers and is continuing to grow as an independent alternative to dealership service.

Previous EV experience is an asset but not required.

If you are an experienced Service Advisor who understands customers, technicians, parts, estimating and workflow, and you're genuinely interested in learning more about electric and hybrid vehicles, this could be an excellent opportunity to take your existing experience into a growing area of the automotive industry.

What We're Looking For:

- Strong understanding of how an automotive service department operates
- Experience preparing estimates and repair orders
- Comfortable communicating technician findings and recommendations to customers
- Strong understanding of automotive parts and repair terminology
- Familiarity with aftermarket parts suppliers and ordering processes
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Organized, accurate and detail-oriented
- Able to manage multiple repair orders and priorities
- Works well as part of a team
- Humility and coachability
- Willing and interested in learning about EV and hybrid technology
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence





Strong Assets:

- Experience with Protractor, Autotextme, Alldata, Identifix
- Experience working with suppliers such as Lordco, NAPA and other independent aftermarket parts sources
- Experience advising on a variety of makes and models
- Experience working for an independent repair shop
- EV or hybrid experience (not required, but must have a real interest in EVs)

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and discuss their vehicle concerns
- Create and manage repair orders
- Communicate customer concerns clearly to technicians
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance to customers
- Prepare estimates and obtain customer authorization
- Source and order parts from OEM and aftermarket suppliers
- Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
- Coordinate workflow with technicians and the rest of the service team
- Schedule service appointments
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records
- Follow up with customers regarding maintenance and future service
- Support service sales while maintaining honesty and integrity
- Learn EV and hybrid systems, terminology and service requirements as part of the role
