Matrix HR is currently recruiting experienced Journeyperson Electricians for active commercial construction projects in Edmonton.

This is a strong opportunity for electricians with commercial construction experience who are available to start immediately and are looking for steady, full-time project work with overtime opportunities.

Schedule

- Most sites operate 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 8 hours per day
- Some sites operate 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 12 hours per day
- Overtime is available and applies to hours worked over 40 per week

What You’ll Be Doing

- Commercial electrical installation and construction work
- Installing conduit, cable, devices, panels, and related electrical components
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
- Performing electrical terminations and connections
- Troubleshooting and completing installations to project requirements
- Working safely and efficiently alongside other trades and site personnel




- Following all site safety procedures and electrical code requirements

What We’re Looking For

- Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certification
- Previous commercial construction electrical experience
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, layouts, and installation practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team
- Reliable transportation to Edmonton-area job sites
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Available to start as soon as possible

Compensation

- $42.00 per hour
- Overtime available for hours worked over 40 per week
- Full-time hours for the duration of the project
