Lands Manager
Department: Lands / Tmicw Reports To: Band Manager Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000
Position Summary
Responsible for the management, planning, and stewardship of Neskonlith lands. This role supports land governance, community planning, and economic development while ensuring sustainable land use.
Key Responsibilities •
Land Management: Oversee land use, leases, permits, and records •
Planning: Lead land use planning and review development proposals •
Development: Support land-based economic opportunities •
Leadership: Guide staff and coordinate projects •
Governance: Work with Chief and Council on decisions •
Engagement: Communicate with community and partners •
Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislation and policies •
Administration: Support budgeting, reporting, and funding
Qualifications •
Experience in land management, planning, or related field •
Strong leadership, communication,
and organizational skills •
Ability to work collaboratively •
Understanding of First Nations land governance is an asset
Education & Experience •
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience •
Several years of relevant experience •
Experience working with First Nations communities preferred
Requirements •
Valid driver’s license •
Criminal record check •
Ability to maintain confidentiality
