MATCHA MATCHA is an innovative, lifestyle-forward café specializing in matcha products curated and received from local farms in Japan. Our matcha is designed to be inviting to both matcha enthusiasts and beginners, from thoughtfully crafted drinks to a welcoming stop that becomes part of our customers’ everyday rituals.

Our Dundas location is MATCHA MATCHA’s flagship store, with a bright, energetic, and social atmosphere built around hospitality, creativity, and connection.

During the day, Dundas operates as a lively café serving matcha drinks, specialty beverages, bakery items, and retail products. From Thursday to Saturday evenings, the space transitions into a more energetic nightlife environment, bringing a different rhythm and atmosphere to the same space.

Because of the personality of this location, we are looking for team members who are warm, outgoing, approachable, and genuinely enjoy interacting with people. We want someone who is comfortable starting conversations, making recommendations, reading the room, and helping create an experience that feels welcoming rather than transactional.

We are looking for someone who is:

Responsibilities and Duties

- Craft beverages and prepare products according to company recipes and quality standards
- Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, and provide friendly and attentive service
- Operate the POS system and support order-taking and handoff as needed
- Multitask between beverage preparation, customer service, cleaning, restocking, and other floor responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, food safety standards and welcoming customer-facing environment
- Keep seating and service areas presentable throughout the shift
- Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies when necessary
- Communicate shortages, product concerns, and operational issues to the Supervisor or Manager
- Complete routine cleaning, opening, closing, and store-maintenance tasks
- Follow company recipes, operating procedures, food safety standards, and service expectations
- Support teammates during rushes and recognize when another station needs help




- Maintain strong service and hospitality standards during both quieter periods and high-volume service
- Adapt to the different pace and atmosphere of the location as it transitions between daytime café service and evening bar operations
- Support other duties required for day-to-day store operations

Who You Are

- 1+ years of Food & Beverage and/or retail experience preferred
- Food Handler Certificate
- WHMIS Certificate preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong basic math skills
- Friendly, positive, and approachable
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures consistently
- Comfortable receiving feedback and learning new procedures
- Comfortable working in a social, energetic, and fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently on assigned responsibilities while contributing to the team
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 25 kg
- Able to safely handle and restock warehouse inventory
- Able to attend paid training and onboarding sessions before commencing employment

Availability & Scheduling

We are looking for candidates with reliable and flexible availability, with preference given to candidates who can work across multiple dayparts and are available on weekends and/or statutory holidays.

- Full-time positions: 30+ hours per week
- Availability across multiple dayparts is preferred
- Weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Shifts may vary depending on café and evening service needs

Pay: From $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
