Job Overview
The Warehouse Shipper is responsible for preparing, packing, labelling, and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently. This position ensures shipments are processed on time, inventory is handled properly, and shipping documentation is completed accurately. This position works under the supervision of the Operations Manager, and under the direction of the Warehouse Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders.
- Pack, label, and secure products to prevent damage during transportation.
- Verify quantities, product numbers, and shipping information before orders leave the warehouse.
- Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and other required documentation.
- Arrange shipments with carriers and coordinate pickup schedules.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping documentation.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and safe handling procedures.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against purchase orders when required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow company safety policies and applicable workplace regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock verification.
- Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Work closely with the order desk, receiving, warehouse coordinator, and other team members to resolve shipping issues.
- Report any equipment problems to supervisor or Health & Safety committee
- Follow all company policies, warehouse procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
- Any other warehouse or logistic duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years of previous warehouse, shipping or material handling experience
- Forklift experience an asset
- Thorough knowledge of warehousing / distribution procedures
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects within established deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of warehouse equipment, forklift (certified), hand jacks, etc
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision
- Able to work in a team environment
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk for long periods
- Able to regularly lift, carry, push and pull items
- Able to lift 75 lbs regularly throughout the day

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
