**LOCATED IN TUMBLER RIDGE, BC**

Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators (Dozer, Excavator, Shovel) to join our team at an open-pit coal mining operation in Tumbler Ridge, BC. The successful candidates will have experience operating large hydraulic excavators, tracked dozers, or hydraulic shovels in a surface mining environment.

EXCAVATOR OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate large hydraulic excavators in an open-pit mining environment.
- Clean and move coal efficiently while maintaining required production standards.
- Load haul trucks with coal and other material.
- Manage dig areas and maintain safe, efficient working conditions.
- Perform excavation, cleanup, bench preparation, and other earthmoving activities as required.

Qualifications

- 2+ years’ experience operating equipment such as: Caterpillar 385, Caterpillar 390FL, Caterpillar 395, Caterpillar 6015B, Hitachi 870, Hitachi 890, or equivalent large mining excavator.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe and productive equipment operation.
- Valid driver's license and required site qualifications/certifications as applicable.

DOZER OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate large tracked dozers in an open-pit mining environment.
- Manage dumps, coal stockpiles, and waste material.
- Push and move coal and overburden as required.
- Maintain dump profiles, roads, ramps, and work areas.

Qualifications

- 2+ years’ experience operating equipment such as: Caterpillar D10T, Caterpillar D10T2, Caterpillar D11T, Komatsu D475, or equivalent large mining dozer.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe and productive equipment operation.




- Valid driver's license and required site qualifications/certifications as applicable.

SHOVEL OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate large hydraulic mining shovels in an open-pit mining environment.
- Load haul trucks with coal and waste material while maintaining productive cycle times.
- Maintain proper shovel positioning and digging techniques.

Qualifications

- 2+ years’ experience operating equipment such as: Komatsu PC2000, Komatsu PC4000, Komatsu PC7000, Hitachi EX3600, Hitachi EX5500, Hitachi EX5600, Hitachi EX8000, or equivalent large hydraulic mining shovel.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe and productive equipment operation.
- Valid driver's license and required site qualifications/certifications as applicable.

ALL POSITIONS

Compensation: $45 - $55 per hour with accommodations and travel pay provided where applicable.

Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off with 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
