About CST-Arwin
CST-Arwin is a manufacturers' representative firm serving the Canadian electronics OEM marketplace. We represent a select group of high-quality component manufacturers and provide cross-Canada sales coverage, customer service and technical support from offices in Ontario, Québec and British Columbia.
The Role
The Western Canada Manager owns CST-Arwin's sales results across the western territory. This person will strengthen relationships with existing customers, win new accounts, and grow sales of our product lines. They act as the local face of CST-Arwin and our principals, and work closely with the distribution channel to support customers of every size.
Key Responsibilities
Grow existing customers
- Manage and develop relationships with existing OEM and accounts across Western Canada
- Identify new design-in and cross-selling opportunities across the full principal line card
- Track opportunities, design registrations and forecasts through to production
Win new customers and increase sales
- Prospect and develop new accounts to increase the active customer count in the territory
- Build and execute a territory plan with clear targets for sales growth and new customer acquisition
- Meet or exceed annual sales and booking goals
Coordinate principal visits
- Plan and book customer calls, meetings and technical presentations when principals visit the territory
- Prepare principals with account background, opportunities and objectives before each visit, and follow up on action items afterward
- Serve as the principals' primary point of contact for Western Canada
Support the distribution channel
- Build strong working relationships with authorized distributor branches and their sales teams
- Train distributor staff on principal products, and run joint calls and promotions
- Pass qualified leads and smaller accounts to distribution where appropriate, and support distributor-held opportunities
Reporting and administration
- Maintain accurate records of calls, opportunities and pipeline in the CRM
- Provide regular sales reports, market feedback and competitive insights to management and principals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of outside sales experience in electronic/electrical components, preferably with a rep firm, distributor or manufacturer
- Proven track record of growing accounts and opening new customers
- Technical aptitude to discuss components and applications with engineers and buyers; an electrical/electronics diploma or degree is an asset
- Existing relationships with OEMs and distributors in Western Canada are a strong asset
- Self-motivated and organized, able to manage a large territory independently
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly within the territory

Pay: $65,000.00-$120,000.52 per year
