Westrose Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Driver / Delivery Driver to support our construction projects throughout Toronto and the GTA.

The successful candidate will primarily operate a company Ford F-350 pickup truck and tow a 15' construction dump trailer for material pickups and deliveries, equipment transportation, hauling, dump runs and general construction logistics.

This is a hands-on construction support position, not strictly a driving job. When deliveries, pickups or transportation are not required, you will assist with loading and unloading materials, garbage removal, site cleanup, sweeping and keeping company vehicles, trailers and job sites organized.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious and confident operating a pickup truck with a trailer in construction environments.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a company Ford F-350 pickup truck and tow a 15' construction dump trailer
- Pick up and deliver construction materials, tools, equipment and supplies to job sites
- Safely hitch, connect, inspect and maneuver the trailer
- Back up and position the trailer safely at construction sites and loading areas
- Transport construction equipment and materials between job sites, suppliers and storage locations
- Complete dump runs and garbage removal
- Load and unload construction materials, tools and equipment
- Assist construction crews with general site support when not driving
- Perform site cleanup, sweeping and garbage removal
- Help keep trucks, trailers, tools and equipment clean, organized and in good condition




- Conduct basic pre-trip inspections and report vehicle or trailer issues
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable traffic and workplace safety requirements
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with suppliers, contractors and site personnel
- Perform other general construction support duties as required.

Skills

- Previous experience driving a pickup truck with a construction trailer is required
- Confident backing up, maneuvering and parking a trailer
- Experience operating a Ford F-350 or similar heavy-duty pickup truck is an asset
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, excavation, demolition, material delivery or equipment hauling is an asset
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving throughout Toronto and the GTA
- Able to safely load, unload and move construction materials and equipment
- Physically capable of performing hands-on construction support duties and lifting materials
- Positive knowledge of basic vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Safety-conscious and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors and in an active construction environment
- Previous experience with dump trailers or construction equipment transportation is an asset
