Patient Support Nurse (RPN) – Urology & Continence Care
Mississauga, ON | Full-Time, Permanent | Monday–Friday
$78,000/year + up to 10% annual bonus + benefits + RRSP matching
Ready to use your nursing experience without the nights, weekends or physical demands of bedside care?
If you're an RPN who loves the patient-care side of nursing but is ready for a more predictable schedule and a different pace, this could be an exceptional next step.
Our client is an established Canadian healthcare company specializing in urology and continence care, supporting patients across Canada. They are growing their clinical patient support team and looking for an RPN who can combine strong nursing judgment with warmth, patience and excellent communication.
This is a Monday-to-Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM position with no nights, no weekends, no rotating shifts and no bedside lifting or transfers.
You'll still make a meaningful difference in patients' lives—you'll simply do it primarily through phone and virtual patient support, education and clinical guidance.

The role:
For many patients, your call will come shortly after they've received difficult or life-changing news from their urologist.
They may be overwhelmed, uncomfortable or anxious about what comes next.
You'll be the healthcare professional who helps make that next step feel manageable.
Working alongside a small patient care team, you'll provide education and support to patients and caregivers navigating catheterization and continence care.
You'll be responsible for:
- Connecting with newly referred patients from urologists and urology clinics
- Providing patient and caregiver education around clean intermittent catheterization (CIC), infection prevention and continence management within your scope of practice
- Helping patients understand and become comfortable with their care routine
- Recommending appropriate catheter and continence products based on anatomy, dexterity, lifestyle and individual needs
- Supporting patients who may be anxious, resistant or struggling to adjust to a new diagnosis
- Coordinating product orders, reimbursement questions and follow-up care
- Ensuring patients receive the supplies and support they need when they need them
- Maintaining clear and accurate clinical documentation
- Identifying recurring patient concerns and opportunities to improve the patient experience
- Contributing to patient education resources and product training for the broader customer care team
Approximately 25% of your day involves direct clinical counselling, with the remainder focused on patient education, problem-solving, coordination and follow-up.
What we're looking for
You may be a particularly strong fit if you've worked in long-term care, home care, urology, continence care, complex care or a hospital setting and are ready to move into a less physically demanding nursing role.
Requirements:
- Current registration in good standing as an RPN or LPN in Canada
- RN candidates are also welcome to apply
- Experience working with catheters, continence care or related patient populations
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Confidence having sensitive or difficult conversations with patients and caregivers
- Warm, patient and professional telephone manner
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Comfortable using everyday office and healthcare technology
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
Experience in urology, catheterization, continence care, home care, LTC, complex care or mental health is highly valued.
Nurse Continence Advisor certification is an asset, but it is not required.
If you have strong nursing fundamentals and patient communication skills, the company will provide comprehensive training on its urology and continence products.
A nursing career with more predictability
This role can be an excellent next step for an experienced nurse who still wants meaningful patient interaction but is looking for something different from traditional bedside nursing.
You'll have the prospect to build specialized knowledge in urology and continence care, develop long-term patient education skills and work with patients across Canada—all while maintaining a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule.
The employer will also fund registration in additional Canadian provinces as required, giving you the prospect to expand your professional licensing while you work.
