Job Overview

Willow and Pine Childcare is looking to add to their on-call list when someone is away or has vacation booked. In this role, you will step into a dynamic classroom environment, providing attentive supervision and engaging activities that foster learning, development, and joy. This paid position offers flexibility and the prospect to support children’s growth while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. This position is on-call for our Lake Country location as well as our Ellison location. Lake Country location has daycare (7:30am - 2:30pm) as well as After School Care (2:30pm - 5:30pm)

Responsibilities

- Supervise children in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom setting, ensuring their well-being at all times
- Implement daily activities and educational programs that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Assist with classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, and bathroom breaks
- Foster positive interactions with children, encouraging curiosity, independence, and social skills




- Communicate effectively with staff and parents to share updates on children’s progress and needs
- Follow all safety protocols and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment for every child

Skills

- Prior classroom experience working with young children or in early childhood education settings (must have ECEA to work in the daycare setting and Responsible Adult course to work in the After School Care program)
- Strong teaching abilities that inspire engagement and curiosity among children
- Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience and adaptability
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
