Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented 4th Class Power Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting steam boiler and ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure safe and effective plant operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor power plant equipment, including steam boiler, ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC, condensers, compressors and pumps ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and system reliability.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using technical diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and system performance data for reporting purposes.
- Oversees installation, operation,



maintenance and repairs of machines and equipment are ensure that they function according to specifications.
- Investigate equipment/machine failures and faulty operations and performance required repairs.
- performs and assists on other maintenance duties as required.

Requirements

- Valid 4th Class Power Engineer certificate.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical, plumbing, motor controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Must be able to work 2-week rotation (afternoon, nights).
- 2 to 3 years hands on maintenance experience in food manufacturing environment.
- Experienced at welding and fabricating would be consider as an asset.
- Responsible for the regular inspection, repair, replacement, installation, adjustment, assembly and dis-assembly of production/packaging equipment.

We provide a positive work environment, competitive hourly pay and benefits. Shift : Every 2-week rotation (afternoon, nights)

- 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm (Monday - Friday)
- 10:00 pm to 6:30 am (Sunday - Thursday)

Unionized: Yes Pay: $29.44-$34.60 per hour
