Job Overview
Activity Programmer
Saint- Antoine 50 + Community Centre is a not-for-profit organization providing social services for vulnerable seniors in our community. Our goal is to support, and encourage their autonomy while helping them develop healthy lifestyle habits.
The activity programmer’s role is to work within the community, defining its needs. The programmer plans activities and services with the team for members of the Centre as well as Community Partner activities outside the Centre.
Tasks:
- Work directly with seniors to provide social & leisure activities.
- Engage in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Support the Centre’s special events.
- Manage membership files & conduct community outreach
- Administrative duties such as; (stats recording, budget management, report writing).
- LEVEL AND FIELD OF STUDY Post secondary education, or related studies or equivalent work-related experiences with seniors.
Requirements:
- Experience in program animation with Seniors.
- Experience in group dynamics and inter-personal relationships
- Excellent verbal and written skills in both English & French
- Knowledge of community resources particularly in the areas of services to seniors
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Leadership and sense of Responsibility
- Capacity to analyse and adapt to changes.
- knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Pro and Publisher
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work autonomously
Work Conditions: Full-time position @ 35 hours weekly. Thursday has evening hours.
