Position: Full time Instructor
About the Position
AlphaLogic Career College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic instructor to teach students enrolled in our Diploma programs.
The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in office administration and advanced computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, and will enjoy helping adult learners develop the technical and professional skills required for today's workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction according to AlphaLogic Career College's approved curriculum and lesson plans.
- Teach administrative and office procedures and computer applications.
- Provide hands-on instruction in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrate practical workplace applications of the skills being taught.
- Prepare and deliver engaging classroom and computer-lab activities.
- Evaluate student assignments, projects, quizzes and examinations.
- Monitor student attendance, participation and academic progress.
- Provide constructive feedback and additional support to students when required.
- Maintain accurate academic and attendance records.
- Support students in developing workplace-ready administrative and computer skills.
- Follow AlphaLogic Career College's academic policies and applicable Ontario career-college requirements.
Technical Skills Candidates should have strong knowledge and practical experience with:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft 365
- Windows and general computer applications
- Internet, email and electronic file management
- Business correspondence and document formatting
- Office administration and procedures
Experience with advanced Excel functions, data management, presentations, databases and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools is highly desirable.
Instructor Qualifications
At least 24 months of relevant experience within the preceding 10 years, working or teaching in the vocation, or a combination of the two, plus an eligible educational qualification recognized under Ontario Regulation 415/06.
Relevant educational backgrounds may include:
- Office Administration
- Business Administration
- Business or Commerce
- Information Technology
- Computer Applications
- Administrative Studies
- Microsoft Office/Computer Applications training
- Another related post-secondary field
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching adult learners.
- Previous teaching experience at an Ontario career college or other post-secondary institution.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
- Experience working in an administrative, executive-assistant, office-management or similar professional environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain technical computer concepts clearly to learners with different skill levels.
- Experience supporting students who may require additional assistance with computer applications.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
