We are currently recruiting for the full-time permanent position:
Administrative Support Developmental Services Ontario:
Intake, Eligibility & Service Navigation
Salary: $50,789.00 Annually.
The Administrative Support DSO: Intake, Eligibility, and Service Navigation position is a member of the Extend-A-Family Kingston DSO team and reports directly to the Manager of Regional Assessors.
This position will perform tasks including word processing and maintaining records on computer spreadsheets and databases. This position will also open case files in the Developmental Services Consolidated Information System when new client intakes are received.
This position is responsible for coordinating and obtaining all relevant eligibility documentation from individuals, families, and agencies that are required to confirm an individual is eligible for developmental services and supports in accordance with the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008.
Position Requirements:
- To maintain all necessary documentation and records in agency files and databases.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and be a team player.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and MS Office Applications.
- Ability to adapt to an evolving environment.
- Demonstrate high accuracy and attention to detail in their daily work.
- Tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality are essential.
- Police Record Check - CPIC including Vulnerable Sector Screening.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a two-year Community College in Secretarial Science/Office Administration program or equivalent.
- 1-3 Years of related experience in Office Administration/Reception
- Experience in the Developmental Services sector preferred
- Under the legislative requirements of the French Language Services Act,
French language competency is an asset.

Hours of Work: 75 Hours over two weeks with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
