Position Overview

3 Peaks Rentals is seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help lead the daily operations of our housekeeping department in Sun Peaks.

In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to coordinate schedules, support and train team members, inspect properties, and ensure vacation rentals are ready for guests on time. You will help maintain consistent cleaning standards across more than 170 professionally managed properties and step in to support the team when needed.

We are looking for an organized, approachable leader who communicates clearly, handles changing priorities calmly, and takes pride in both the team’s work and the guest experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership

- Support the Housekeeping Manager in supervising, coaching, and training seasonal and permanent team members.
- Help onboard new employees and provide transparent, constructive feedback.
- Lead daily team briefings, communicate expectations, and address concerns promptly.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.





Daily Operations

- Help prepare schedules, assign daily work, and adjust staffing as occupancy and operational needs change.
- Monitor the progress of cleans and coordinate with the team to ensure properties are guest-ready on time.
- Conduct property inspections and follow up on any cleaning issues.
- Coordinate deep cleans and other housekeeping projects.
- Assist with cleaning and other hands-on duties during busy periods.
- Support the Housekeeping Manager with the management on-call rotation, including some evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Quality & Communication

- Help maintain and improve cleaning procedures, checklists, and inspection standards.
- Work closely with Front Desk, Reservations, Maintenance, Laundry, Drivers, Interior Design, and management to coordinate turnovers.
- Respond professionally to housekeeping-related guest concerns and owner requests.
- Report damages, maintenance concerns, missing inventory, and property deficiencies, and help coordinate follow-up.
- Keep accurate inspection records and operational notes.

Supplies & Safety

- Monitor cleaning supplies, linens, amenities, and equipment, and help coordinate orders.
- Keep housekeeping storage areas clean and organized.




- Help track supply use and labour needs.
- Promote safe work practices and follow company health and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience The successful candidate will have:

- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, vacation rental, or similar hospitality setting.
- Experience supervising, training, or coordinating a housekeeping team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities in a busy operation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistent cleaning standards.
- A calm, professional approach to supporting staff and resolving guest concerns.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence using computers and the ability to learn scheduling and operational software.
- A working knowledge of workplace safety practices.
- The ability to perform physical housekeeping duties and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) when required.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons.
- WHIMIS Certification

Pay: $29.00-$33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- management : 2 years (required)
