Overview

Coho Commissary Kitchens is looking for a hands-on, organized, and people-oriented Assistant Manager to help keep our two commissary kitchen locations running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a role that combines operations, facilities, administration, problem-solving, and working directly with members. You'll be an important part of the day-to-day experience at Coho, helping maintain protected, clean, organized, and well-run kitchen facilities.

Working closely with the Commissary Operations Manager, you'll help ensure that our facilities, member spaces, records, and day-to-day operations are consistently maintained to a high standard.

What You'll Do:

- Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections of our kitchen facilities, workstations, storage areas, coolers/freezers, and common spaces.
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, safety, food-safety, and facility-use requirements.
- Work with members to address routine operational and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate member information, station assignments, storage allocations, and other records in Optix.
- Support member onboarding, changes, and offboarding.
- Identify and follow up on maintenance, equipment, and facility issues.
- Coordinate access for contractors and service providers and track outstanding repairs.
- Maintain accurate operational, compliance, inspection, and maintenance records.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure facility use and member records are accurate and up to date.
- Respond to member questions and provide clear, professional communication and follow-up.
- Identify issues that require management attention and ensure they are properly documented and escalated.
- Prepare routine reports, checklists, notices,

and administrative documentation.
- Pitch in with other operational tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day operational details. You will be a excellent fit if you:

- Have strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoy being active and hands-on rather than sitting at a desk all day.
- Are comfortable inspecting spaces, identifying problems, and following issues through to resolution.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with members, contractors, and service providers.
- Can manage multiple priorities while keeping accurate records.
- Are comfortable working independently and know when to ask for direction or escalate an issue.
- Have experience in operations, hospitality, food service, facilities, property management, or a similar environment - an asset but not required.
- Are comfortable learning and using computer systems and administrative software. Experience with Optix is an asset.

Why Join Coho? This is a varied, hands-on operations role where no two days are exactly the same. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of food businesses and play a key role in maintaining the facilities and member experience across both Coho commissary locations.
