Job Summary

Langley Meadows Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team.

We are seeking a confident veterinarian who enjoys a varied caseload and is comfortable working in a busy general practice with regular urgent and emergency cases.

Position Details

- 3–4 shifts per week
- 10–12 hour shifts
- Rotating morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
- Competitive compensation based on experience

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnostics, and individualized treatment plans
- Manage wellness, medical, urgent, and emergency appointments
- Perform canine and feline spay/neuter procedures
- Perform common minor soft-tissue procedures, including laceration repair, abscess treatment, and wound management
- Administer vaccinations, medications, anesthesia, and other treatments
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
- Educate clients on treatment plans, preventive care, nutrition, and wellness
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff




- Recognize cases requiring hospitalization, advanced care, or referral

Requirements
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility to practice in British Columbia
- Minimum 3 years of overall veterinary experience
- At least 1–2 years of emergency/urgent-care experience
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented, reliable, and professional
- Commitment to high standards of patient care, animal welfare, and client service
- Willingness to work rotating morning, afternoon, and evening shifts

Pay: $75.00-$120.00 per hour
