Job summary The Automotive Service Installer works in a fast-paced Automotive Service Centre environment. The role includes oil and lube service, tire installation, tire rotation and balancing and light vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities:





- Work directly alongside a Senior Red Seal Technician to gain hands-on mentorship on complex repairs, diagnostics, and shop best practices.
- Perform progressive mechanical repair & maintenance (brakes, steering, suspension, fluid services, tire installation/balancing, and vehicle inspections) under expert guidance.
- Complete detailed Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and provide accurate findings to Service Advisors to ensure customer safety and transparency.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Management, and Parts Department associates to ensure smooth shop workflow.
- Maintain safety and compliance standards, ensuring unsafe vehicles are immediately flagged to management and shop safety rules are strictly followed.
- Perform specialized inspections (such as RIV / imported vehicle inspections where applicable). Financial & Health Rewards

Requirements / Skills

Core Requirements

- Valid Ontario Driver's License: Must have a valid license and clean driving record to safely move and road-test customer vehicles.
- Mechanical Aptitude: A solid foundational knowledge of contemporary automotive systems and a genuine hunger to learn the trade.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating computerized shop systems, digital inspection tools, and online service manuals.
- Problem Solver & Team Player: Positive, approachable, and able to adapt, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Readiness: Capable of handling the active, physical demands of a busy shop floor (standing, lifting, bending, and reaching) for a full shift.
- Flexible Availability: Reliable and available to work a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends.

Strong Assets

- Previous hands-on experience working in a Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre.
- Familiarity with COSTAR shop management software.
