Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall accounting functions within the automotive dealership setting. Responsibilities could be one or more of the following

- accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, CDK records and reconcile financial data accurately.
- Perform data entry tasks related to invoices, payments, and expense reports with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of deals and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support bookkeeping activities by maintaining organized inventory data sheets for new and used vehicles.

- Verify regulatory compliance for documents (such as regional motor vehicle sales regulations) and maintain organized financial files




- Enter vehicle deals (new retail, used retail, wholesale, and leases), calculate dealer trades, and stock in new and used vehicles.
- Assist with monthly financial closings, prepare accounting reports, and ensure all data entry meets strict deadlines.

Requirements

- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
- Familiarity with payroll systems including ADP is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; attention to detail is essential.
- Basic math skills combined with the ability to analyze accounts and perform account reconciliation tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of financial services industry practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

Pay: $18.11-$24.00 per hour
