Pacific Nations Auto Sales & Finance is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to join our established accounting and management team.

We have a strong accounting team already in place. What we are specifically looking to add is someone with significant automotive dealership accounting expertise who understands the unique financial and administrative requirements of running a dealership.

We have been in business for 9 years, employ approximately 15 people and sell approximately 35–50 vehicles per month. The Position

This is a hands-on Controller position working alongside our existing accounting and management team.

The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of the complete automotive dealership accounting cycle and be capable of performing and overseeing all administrative accounting functions, including:

- Monthly financial statement preparation and reporting
- Month-end and year-end procedures
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliation
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Cash management
- Daily tills and deposit reconciliation
- Vehicle inventory accounting and reconciliation
- Vehicle deal posting and review
- Lender funding and finance reserve reconciliation
- Floor plan reconciliation and payouts
- Vehicle costing
- Deal file accounting review
- Payroll administration and reconciliation
- Government remittances and reporting
- Vendor reconciliation




- Maintaining strong internal accounting controls
- Identifying discrepancies and ensuring accounting accuracy
- Working with our existing accounting team to continuously improve dealership processes and controls

Automotive Experience Is Our Priority Specific automotive dealership accounting experience is required for this position.

We are not simply looking for a general accountant. We are specifically looking for someone who understands automotive accounting and can bring that knowledge and experience to our existing team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an:

- Automotive Controller
- Dealership Controller
- Assistant Automotive Controller
- Senior Automotive Accountant

You should already understand vehicle inventory accounting, deal posting, lender funding, finance reserves, floor plans, vehicle costing, dealership receivables/payables and the preparation of dealership financial statements. PBS Systems experience is strongly preferred.

- Highly experienced in automotive dealership accounting
- Capable of preparing and understanding complete dealership financial statements
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working collaboratively within an existing accounting team
- Able to identify discrepancies and resolve them independently
- Confident working with dealership management, sales,



finance, lenders and vendors
- Comfortable improving processes and strengthening internal controls
- Experienced with dealership management systems, preferably PBS Systems
