Job Summary

D&E; Service Centre is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate possesses robust mechanical knowledge supported by relevant hands-on experience in automotive repair.This role requires the ability to work well within a team environment, including being receptive to educational opportunities and knowledge sharing from our senior mechanic.Qualifications

- Red Seal certification is preferred.

- Apprentices enrolled with the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency will be considered.

- Valid driver’s license is required.

Expectations and Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair automotive components.

- Provide routine and preventative maintenance.

- Demonstrate mechanical aptitudeand troubleshooting skills.

- Adhere to precise instructions with a strong attention to detail.

- Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean work area.

- Use tools safely, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

- Perform welding skills required for certain repair tasks.

- Solve problems with excellent attention to detail.

- Work independently as well as part of a team.

- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
