Vacancy Status: This is an existing position that has become vacant and is required to support equipment transportation and yard operations within the Corunna or Windsor branch, servicing sites throughout Southwestern Ontario.

About the Role
CMF Group Inc. is seeking an experienced AZ Truck Driver to support equipment transportation, material handling, and yard operations for our Corunna and Windsor facilities, with periodic travel to other CMF job sites.
The successful candidate will transport heavy equipment, machinery components, tools, and job materials using various specialized trailers and tractors. This role requires robust operational awareness, safe driving practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with field crews, customers, and supervision. Yard duties, equipment inspections, and routine maintenance are essential components of this position.
This position includes physically demanding work, including manually applying load securement (chains, binders, straps) and installing load coverings such as tarps and protective materials. This is a hands-on, safety-focused role suited for a reliable, professional driver who takes pride in equipment care, load securement, and customer service.
Work Schedule
This is an hourly position with a typical schedule of:
· Monday to Friday, 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. These hours will vary to align with business demands.
· Two paid 15‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute unpaid lunch.
· Overtime after 44 hours per week.
· Periodic weekend or late-day work to support last‑minute mobilizations.
· Travel between Windsor, Corunna, and other CMF job sites as required.
· Availability to support urgent mobilizations and customer needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage Rate: Hourly position paid weekly, subject to taxes and government deductions. The range for this role is $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and equipment operation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Transportation & Equipment Handling
· Transport heavy equipment, machinery components, tools, and job materials to and from job sites.
· Operate specialized equipment including Landoll hydraulic ramp trailers, 4‑axle detachable floats, Tilt-deck 3‑axle tractors, Curtain-side step deck trailers, etc.
· Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
· Manually apply load securement, including chains, binders, straps, and tarps.
· Secure loads to prevent movement, damage, or weather exposure.
· Protect and tarp loads during inclement weather.
· Maintain Ontario AZ licensing and comply with all applicable traffic laws.
Operational Duties
· Follow directions from field crew leaders and customers regarding site requirements.
· Record cargo type, quantities, and delivery details.
· Plan routes using maps or GPS.
· Maintain daily logs and documentation.
· Inspect tractors and trailers before and after trips; report defects.
· Perform routine and minor maintenance on trucks and associated equipment.
· Keep trucks clean, organized, and in good working order.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
· Participate in CMF Group’s daily risk assessment procedures.
· Follow CMF Group and customer PPE and safety policies.
· Take special precautions while driving and handling loads.
· Follow accident procedures if incidents occur.
· Maintain training and personal protocols required for access to CMF job sites (including clean-shaven requirements for respirator fit testing when applicable).
Yard, Support & Miscellaneous Duties
· Assist with yard organization, equipment staging, and material handling.
· Support job material mobilization and demobilization.
· Collaborate with facility management, field crews, and dispatch personnel.
Qualifications & Expectations
· Valid Ontario AZ Driver’s License.
· Experience operating heavy haul trailers and specialized equipment.
· Understanding of PTO and pup motor operations.
· Ability to load, secure, and protect equipment and materials.
· Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
· Ability to work flexible hours when required.
· Reliable, professional, and committed to safe work practices.
· Effective communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Experience transporting heavy equipment or industrial materials considered an asset.
Ontario Driver’s Abstract
Candidates must provide a current Ontario Driver’s Abstract that demonstrates a safe driving record consistent with CMF Group’s internal standards and our insurance provider’s requirements. While the abstract does not need to be perfect, it must show responsible driving history and no disqualifying violations.
