Job Overview

We’re looking for a friendly and motivated Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll support daily bakery operations, assist with dry scaling of ingredients, preparation of packaging, and shaping and baking of our bread products. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

Hours/Schedule The ideal candidate will be available to work the following shifts every week:

Tuesdays: 11am to 5pm

Wednesdays: 11am to 7pm

Thursdays: 11am to 7pm

Fridays: 11am to 7pm

Responsibilities

- Assist with bread preparation tasks such as dry scaling, shaping, baking, and preparing packaging/packing cooled bread.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, following food safety protocols.
- Help with food handling and storage to ensure freshness and quality.
- Contribute to the baking process by following recipes and quality standards.




- Support customer service efforts by preparing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in kitchen operations, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in baking, food preparation, or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and proper hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new techniques related to baking and food industry standards.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
