Barista / All Rounder — Momento Café

Momento Café is hiring a friendly, reliable barista for our location at 1502 Robson Street in Vancouver. Excellent customer service is central to this role. We’re looking for someone who welcomes every guest warmly, listens carefully, handles orders accurately, and helps create a café people want to return to.

What you’ll do

- Greet customers, answer menu questions, take orders, and process payments using Square.
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, tea, matcha, and other beverages consistently and efficiently.
- Serve pastries, cakes, gelato, and sandwiches while following food safety practices.
- Check orders for accuracy and communicate clearly with coworkers during busy periods.
- Restock cups, ingredients, and display items; keep the counter and customer areas clean.
- Complete opening or closing tasks when scheduled, including cleaning and preparing the café for the next shift.
- Respond to customer concerns calmly and kindly,



and ask the shift lead or owner for help when needed.

What we’re looking for

- A genuinely friendly attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work well with a team.
- Attention to detail and the ability to stay organized during busy periods.
- Previous barista or café experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn matters too.
- Availability for a mix of morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

Pay: $18.25 per hour, plus participation in the café’s shared tip pool according to its tip policy. Location: Momento Café, 1502 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC.
