Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Bar Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to guests while creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. As a Bar Server, you will take orders, serve drinks and food, handle cash transactions, and promote our menu offerings with enthusiasm. This position offers an exciting chance to develop your hospitality skills in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and guest satisfaction are top priorities.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly and assist them in selecting beverages and menu items with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct service.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including sanitation of utensils, glassware, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues promptly.




- Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods by prioritizing tasks such as serving multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously.
- Follow all food industry regulations related to serving alcohol, food safety standards, and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications

- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems like Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently.
- Basic understanding of food handling, preparation, and serving techniques.
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial but not required; eagerness to learn is essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Minimum 2 year experience in a Restaurant/Pub
