You are bilingual (French/English) and believe in education as a tool for positive change. You thrive in dynamic, ever-changing environments and are excited about travelling to Northern communities to deliver creative and impactful programs.

The Role

As a Bilingual Elementary Program Instructor, you’ll travel to Northern communities in Eeyou Istchee delivering educational workshops designed to re-engage Indigenous students in STEM programming. Role begins early January 2027.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate engaging, hands-on STEM workshops for elementary students.
- Adapt teaching methods to fit the unique needs of each grade.
- Maintain regular communication with the head office, providing program updates.
- Provide weekly attendance & feedback reports to head office in the specified format.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

- Fluency in French and English.
- Experience working with children (tutoring, camps, or classroom experience preferred).
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving and adapting to current environments.




- Good presentation skills
- Cultural sensitivity
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, boxes on wheels
- Able to comfortably move around a classroom or outdoors with students.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and ability to drive long distances on remote roads
- Clean Drivers’ abstract
- Current police clearance report with attention to vulnerable sector screening
- Available to travel to and between Northern Communities
- Adaptable to living conditions in remote communities

Desirable Qualifications

- Teaching or tutoring experience in STEM (an asset).
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (preferred).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and a passion for working with diverse populations.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
