Total Motor Werkes

Whitchurch-Stouffville

Three-day weekends are non-negotiable. We want you rested and sharp.

Pay is approximately $40–$45/hour, depending on diagnostic ability, with room to grow as the shop grows.

We're Not a Conventional Repair Shop

Total Motor Werkes is a restoration, fabrication, modification and diagnostic shop specializing in BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

A big part of what we do revolves around vintage and enthusiast vehicles.

We restore cars. We fabricate parts and solutions when what we need doesn't exist. We modify and improve cars. We solve difficult mechanical and electrical problems. And sometimes we have to figure things out without a repair procedure telling us exactly what to do.

No two weeks here look the same.

One day you might be diagnosing a CAN communication fault on a contemporary Mercedes. The next you could be sorting out the electrical system on a vintage BMW, helping solve a fabrication problem, or bringing a decades-old car back to life.

That's the environment you're joining.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced BMW/Mercedes technician to take the lead on complex diagnostics and technically demanding repairs.

You'll work on electrical faults, drivability problems, CAN communication issues, intermittent concerns and the kinds of problems that require real thought to solve.

You'll work beside a solid production technician who can handle much of the R&R;, allowing you to stay focused on diagnosis and technically demanding work.

You don't need to arrive as a master fabricator. But you do need to enjoy working in an environment where creativity,

problem-solving and figuring out how to make something work properly are part of the job.

No flat-rate grind. No games.

What matters here is how you think—not how many parts you throw at a car.

The Person We're Looking For

We're looking for someone positive and solution-oriented.

When you encounter a problem, your instinct should be to start thinking about the solution—not complain about the car, the customer or the situation.

Low ego. High competence.

"I don't know yet, but let's figure it out" is a perfectly good answer here.

Knowing when to ask for help is a strength. Hiding mistakes, guessing or pretending to know something you don't isn't.

We talk openly, challenge assumptions, learn from mistakes and expect everyone—including the owner—to be receptive to feedback.

We value people who take care of themselves physically, mentally and emotionally. This trade requires energy, focus, resilience and self-awareness.

If This Sounds Like You

If you want a shop where you can use your diagnostic ability, build things, restore interesting cars, solve unusual problems and continue developing your craft—while still having a life outside of work—let's talk.

Send us a little about yourself and your experience.

We'll start with a short paid working interview on a real diagnostic problem so you can see how we work and we can see how you think.

If it feels right on both sides, we go from there.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week

Work Location: In person
