We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Superintendent to oversee the maintenance of our seniors building. The ideal candidate will take initiative, take direction, work well with others. Solid background in maintenance, janitorial, repairs, painting. This role is essential in ensuring that our building is safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
- Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Apartment complex. Tasks: Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, floors and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Empty trash cans and recyclables. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Perform safety and security checks. Prepare apartments for new moveins.
Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Area of work experience: Cleaning. Equipment: Carpet cleaning machine. Steam cleaners. Power lawn mowers. Security system. Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments). Snowblower. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Vulnerable sector check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
