Entro is building an internal data and analytics capability. Over the past year we have piloted AI-assisted analysis of our project, financial, and operational data, producing a first generation of dashboards and KPIs.

We are now looking for a Business Analyst to take ownership of that work and grow it into a firm-wide capability. This role sits between our data and our decision makers. You will work directly with business leads across finance, operations, project delivery, business development, and people & culture to understand how each area runs, what decisions they need to make, and what information those decisions require and then design the dashboards, reports, and analysis that deliver it.

This is not a purely technical role. Success depends equally on your ability to build well in AI tools/Power BI and your ability to sit down with a general manager or practice lead, understand their business area in their language, and translate that into meaningful, trusted measures. We are looking for someone with genuine analytical curiosity, someone who reads a dataset more than one way, asks why the number moved, and brings insight rather than only output.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dashboard & Report Development

- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports across the business, from executive-level KPI views to team-level operational reporting.
- Take ownership of the existing dashboards and KPI models developed to date; refine, extend, and move them from prototype to production.
- Build and maintain the underlying data models, queries, and connections, drawing from Deltek Vantagepoint and other business systems.
- Establish consistent KPI definitions and calculation logic so that figures reconcile across reports and are trusted by leadership.
- Automate recurring reporting that is currently produced manually,

reducing turnaround time and error risk.

Business Partnership
- Work directly with business leads and discipline to learn how their area operates, what they are accountable for, and where they lack visibility.
- Facilitate requirements conversations and translate operational language into data requirements, measures, and dashboard specifications.
- Challenge broad or unclear requests constructively – identify the decision behind the ask so that what gets built is genuinely used.
- Prototype quickly, review with users, and iterate; treat dashboards as products with owners rather than one-off deliverables.
- Train and support business leads in using their dashboards, and help them interpret what the data is telling them.
- Build credibility as a trusted partner across all offices, working comfortably with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Analysis & Insight
- Analyze trends, variances, and anomalies, going beyond reporting the number to explaining what is driving it.
- Approach data from multiple angles
- Prepare analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, utilization, pipeline, project performance, and profitability review.
- Proactively surface findings and recommendations to leadership, including observations no one asked for
- Support ad hoc analytical requests from the executive team and the board reporting cycle.
- Partner with system owners to improve data integrity at source, identifying where process or entry discipline is limiting reporting quality.

- Apply appropriate controls around confidential data
- Use AI and analytics tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, and stay current on tools that could improve how we work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- Post-secondary education in business, finance, analytics, information systems, computer science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with AI-assisted analysis tools and enterprise knowledge platforms.
- Passionate about business analyst, data analyst, or business intelligence role.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to senior leaders.
- Exposure to the broader Microsoft Power Platform, or to Python for analysis.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- You are curious about why things are the way they are and uncomfortable sitting with a question until the data answers it.
- You want to know how the business actually makes money and delivers work, not just where the tables are.
- Translation ability. You can move between a conversation with a design lead and a data model without losing either audience.
- You see work through to adoption, not just delivery, and follow up on whether it is being used.
- You handle confidential financial and people data with care.
- You can build structure where none exists yet and make progress without a fully defined roadmap.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

- First 90 days: You understand the existing dashboards and data sources, have met with every business lead, and have mapped where our reporting gaps and data quality issues sit.
- Six months: Leaders across the firm rely on dashboards in their regular decision-making, recurring reporting is largely automated, and you are recognized as the go-to person for analysis at Entro.
